RTS Convention To Focus On Quality Content

The theme for the Royal Television Society (RTS Cambridge Convention 2013 has been announced.
The bi-annual event, which takes place in Cambridge from 11-13 September, will ask the question: "Whose Side Are you on? Quality Content: Who Pays? Who Decides? Who Profits?"
This year, Channel 4 CEO David Abraham will be chairing the convention.
He said: "We are putting content creation firmly at the heart of the agenda. Through a combination of UK and global industry leaders, we will examine how economics, technologies and politics are affecting the creation of high-quality creative ideas and output."
Over the course of the Convention, sessions will explore the value chain of content creation and look at how distribution strategies are changing.
Future leaders will be brought together with the current generation of senior industry figures to debate the main findings of the event.
Headline speakers will include Rt Hon Maria Miller MP, Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport; Richard Desmond, Founder and Owner of Northern & Shell; Mike Fries, CEO of Liberty Global; Dido Harding, CEO of TalkTalk Group; Paul Lee, President of ABC Entertainment Group; Nancy Tellem, Entertainment and Digital Media President at Microsoft; and Marc Watson, CEO of BT Vision.
