The Hive lure Flame talent Wilmshurst from The Mill

London 2D/3D animation house The Hive have added the creative talents of Flame artist Matt Wilmshurst as part of their on-going drive to deliver even higher-quality animation and finishing services.
Wilmshurst has been appointed as a senior digital artist and brings leading-edge skills in compositing, as well as on-set visual effects supervision, to the company, which recently boosted their on-line finishing capabilities with the addition of Flame.
Wilmshurst joins The Hive after a successful stint at The Mill, where he trained on Flame and worked on a range of creative and technically challenging projects. He was part of the Flame teams responsible for the VW Lupo Baby TV ad, as well as spots for Levi’s, Nike and Mercedes cars in the UK and US. More recently he was lead Flame artist on commercials for Adidas, Siemens and Anti-Smoking campaigns.
Of significance to The Hive, Wilmshurst has considerable experience in compositing live action with computer-generated 3D, having worked on BT’s Broadband ad series, and FC Kahuna’s music video Hayling. He has also completed digital visual effects for the BBC’s 'Love In A Cold Climate' and 'Daniel Deronda' and was D&AD nominated last year for his work on 'Pool', the launch commercial for the new BMW 7-Series.
