Flame/Inferno artist Philippe Aubry joins Rushes

Rushes has announced that Philippe Aubry, the talented Flame/Inferno Artist, has joined its ranks.
The leading London post-production facility already boasts an exceptional line-up of special effects artists, including Head of VFX, Paul Hannaford, Duncan Malcolm, Matt Jackson, Emir Hasham, Omar Akkari and Claire Pollock.
Born in Paris, Aubry studied Mathematics at the city’s Jussieu University, but decided against a career in the field. It was when he went on a film set with his friend Francois Desagmat, now a successful director, that his passion for his craft was born. Shortly afterwards, in 1997, Aubry joined the respected Parisian postproduction outfit Duran-Duboi, initially as a runner. By the time he left six years later Aubry was a digital artist, who ran the ten-man compositing team and was the special effects supervisor on shoots for Coca Cola, Capital FM, and Carte Noire as well as a huge amount of promos, features and shorts.
Following a move to London in 2003 Philippe worked at Cinesite where he was responsible for the Inferno shots on Harry Potter, ‘The Prisoner of Azkaban’ and the recently released ‘King Arthur’.
