Aspen Media Busier Than Ever At BVE

Aspen Media, a UK distributor for broadcast audio equipment, was delighted by the number of visitors to its stand at BVE recently.
The visitors came to see the new products launched at the show including the DirectOut ANDIAMO.MC a 32 channel mic preamp and bi-directional AD and DA converter. ANDIAMO.MC has a full MADI routing matrix that allows the conversion and routing of mic level signals into MADI digital format. It can simultaneously extract up to 32 channels from the incoming MADI bitstream and output them in balanced line level analogue format, for monitoring or stage returns.
Demonstrating the DirectOut kit was DirectOut's Product Manager and Software Developer Claudio Becker-Foss who designed the EXBOX.UMA. EXBOX.UMA is a bi-directional 32-channel MADI/ADAT-to-USB converter built to simplify broadcast-quality, location multitrack recording. Any 32 audio channels from its MADI and ADAT inputs can be routed via USB to a PC- or Mac-based DAW. At the same time, 32 DAW tracks can be routed to ADAT or MADI for monitoring as playback. In addition, an integrated 128 channel mixer with 8 stereo buses can be routed to any of the available outputs providing a latency free monitoring mix.
