ASSIMILATE Offers Free Trial of SCRATCH v7
ASSIMILATE, the leading global provider of DI and dailies tools for digital cinema, episodic television, commercials and spot workflows has announced, for the first time, a free trial offer of SCRATCH® v7.
Like the SCRATCH Lab trial ASSIMILATE began offering in 2012, the new SCRATCH trial has no time-out and is fully functional except it carries a watermark, and it does not render. ASSIMILATE has significantly expanded the SCRATCH v7 arsenal for on-set and post-production professionals as they strive to push the boundaries of digital cinema, TV, and commercials. Filmmakers and post-production artists are now able to take a “test ride” of SCRATCH and learn how it works as a high-performance, easy-to-use workflow and DI tool.
The SCRATCH trial is available now for download at
www.assimilateinc.com/trial.
SCRATCH v7 is the first real-time, client-attended tool-set in the industry to deliver a consistent, integrated user-interface across both production dailies and creative DI. This consistency offers a synergy between production and post-production that allows directors and producers of features, commercials, spots and episodic television to dramatically enhance creativity while significantly improving productivity.
New Release Update SCRATCH and Lab Includes:
· Support for Sony F5/F55 and the new F65 format via the new Sony SDK, including 6k and 8k support
· Support for Sony Mpeg-2 .mp4, .mov and XAVC HD/4K .mxf
· Support for RED monochrome footage, DRX control on RED Rocket cards and additional metadata items (such as scene and take)
· Support for Canon C500 .rmf
· Support for Blackmagic Design Cinema DNG
· Support for Aaton Penelope and Iconoscop
· Upgraded jpeg2000 implementation that generates DCI compliant output
· Ability to load multi-view EXR images as under/over images
Dramatically Faster ARRIRAW Debayering
The new SCRATCH and SCRATCH Lab update release features a new ASSIMILATE custom ARRI fast Debayer method – built for significant speed while still preserving color accuracy. The new fast Debayer option is set as a default option when loading new ARRIRAW media.
"SCRATCH is well known for delivering the industry’s best price performance to filmmakers and post-production artists," said Steve Bannerman, VP of marketing at ASSIMILATE. "We’re excited to offer artists this free trial so they can seamlessly discover the power of Creative DI with SCRATCH. Since the trial has no expiration date, artists can explore SCRATCH when it fits into their schedule. And best of all, assimilateinc.com offers an amazing array of training, video tutorials, webinars and case studies - all for free - so artists can really maximize their trial experience every step of the way."
