Warner Bros license QuVIS Technology

QuVIS have announced an agreement to license their Quality Priority Encoding (QPE) technology to Warner Bros.
QPE is a wavelet based motion imagery encoding process that guarantees image quality at user-defined levels to deliver pristine, digitally mastered movies for post production, digital dailies and digital cinema distribution and presentation.
The license agreement allows Warner Bros. Technical Operations to incorporate the QPE algorithms directly into their Linux-based workflow processes.
The inclusion of QPE in the workflow will allow Warner Bros. to encode motion picture content on existing Linux-based systems, and output content directly to QuBit servers for viewing digital dailies and digital cinema masters.
