Kramer Electronics introduce RGBHV video DAs

Kramer Electronics have introduced their VP-123 and VP-123V, 1 input, 3 output RGBHV distribution amplifiers at NAB 2003 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The VP-123 and VP-123V are high performance 1:3 distribution amplifiers for RGBHV video signals. Both machines use 5 BNCs for the output signal connectors. The VP-123 uses 5 BNCs for the input signal connectors while the VP-123V uses a “VGA/XGA”, HD 15 pin connector as the input signal connector.
These models have three high bandwidth analogue video channels, Red, Green and Blue, that can be operated independently from one another. This allows the units to be used for other video signal formats such as composite, Y/C and component (a breakout cable would be required for the 123V to input the desired signal format). The VP-123 and VP-123V can be used as a 1:3 DA for composite, Y/C and component video signals, or as three 1:3 DA’s for composite video signals. The remaining two channels are for H Sync and V Sync. These are digital/logic channels that include special circuitry for sync reconstruction and shaping.
Bandwidth of over 370MHz ensures that the VP-123 and VP-123V remain transparent even in critical broadcast and high resolution applications. These models are housed in a rugged, professional rack mountable enclosure requiring only one vertical space in a standard 19” rack. They are powered from a 12Volt DC source, making them ideal for fieldwork as well.
