Hantarex provide Madame Tussaud's Goal! projection module

Hantarex Ltd, specialists in the supply of electronic information display systems have announced the instalment of their new product - the RP61” ES LCD rear projection module - as an integral part of a new attraction to celebrate England’s successful qualification for the 2002 World Cup.
Developed in close collaboration with the Football Association, Goal! at Madame Tussaud’s gives guests the chance to relive England’s path to Japan – and that magical goal that secured the team’s place there.
The audio-visual systems were designed and installed by Sysco and Barry Jones, Project Manager at Sysco, said: “We were looking for a product that offers excellent picture quality picture whilst remaining thin enough to fit within the space we had available. Having tried various alternatives the RP61 won easily.”
The RP61” ES LCD’s digital capability enables a realistic reproduction that re-enacts and creates the electric environment of the match.
The high-resolution display offers improved image quality which utilises a 1024x768 pixel resolution LCD panel and is capable of displaying UXGA standard up to 1600x1200.
By using the new digital and modular 0.9” three panel LCD instead of the classic three CRT tube configuration, significant enhancements have been made to image quality with perfect focus and uniform brightness across the whole screen. The monitors can be stacked in multiple configurations and therefore were ideal to create a bespoke videowall for this project.
Hantarex monitors were specified and installed by Sysco.
This latest development from Hantarex is easy to install as its narrow depth of only 75cm comprises the lens, the modular steel box and the electronic digital engine which allows it to fit through any standard doorway and its overall weight of 56kg makes it easy to handle.
The units are easily accessed from either the front or the rear for servicing and can be stacked in multiple configurations to form a videowall.
Another feature of the product is its internal splitter software allowing up to 4x4 enlargement of either video or VGA signals, permitting the use of an array of monitors without the need for external splitter electronics.
Hantarex was established in 1981 in the UK with over 20 years expertise in the supply of electronic information displays incorporating Plasmas, LCD, TFT, CRT and rear projection technology. Hantarex data and video monitors are renowned for their reliability and value for money.
