Creative England Makes MediaCityUK Move
Creative England has moved into The Greenhouse at MediaCityUK, Salford.
The Greenhouse is home to over 50 creative sector small businesses (SMEs), so completing the move will enable Creative England to be closer to those businesses with which it is forging links.
Creative England’s Chief Executive, Caroline Norbury said: "Creative England’s core proposition is about supporting and developing creative sector SMEs, so to be based at The Greenhouse makes perfect sense for us."
Since its creation one year ago this week, Creative England has actively pursued a policy of choosing offices at the heart of creative clusters, from which it is best placed to understand and meet the needs of the specific industries it supports.
All 17 staff from the organisation’s Salford office have been relocated to the new base from the offices of the former regional screen agency, Vision+Media.
Stephen Wild, Managing Director of MediaCityUK said: "Strategically, this is a great move for Creative England, which is now based in the heart of MediaCityUK. The organisation is one of the major occupiers within The Greenhouse and I’m sure the presence of the Creative England team will provide opportunities for our immediate neighbours and beyond."
The new Greenhouse office complex is flanked by BBC, ITV, The Pie Factory studios and the University of Salford. Creative England’s Birmingham office was moved to the gaming hub of Birmingham Science Park earlier this year, where it is surrounded by games and digital start-ups, and it has also opened an office at Elstree Studios.
Apart from Salford, Creative England now operates out of five additional creative centres across England, including Birmingham, Bristol, Nottingham, Leeds and Elstree.
