EAL to award Skillset Professional Qualifications
Skillset Professional Qualifications will now be awarded by EAL (EMTA Awards Ltd), one of the most successful industry-based awarding bodies.
EAL will take over from the Skillset/Open University awarding body partnership as the organisation which administrates Skillset Professional Qualifications. EAL will also be responsible for the Quality Assurance of the qualifications and maintaining the network of established assessment centres, assessors and external verifiers. Skillset will work with EAL to promote the qualifications to the audio-visual industries.
Kate O’Connor, Director of Policy and Development at Skillset, said: “As a Sector Skills Council, Skillset will take on a wider role in ensuring that all vocational qualifications meet industry needs.
"We will continue to develop the standards and promote Skillset Professional Qualifications and we are delighted that EAL have taken on the role of sole Awarding Body on our behalf. EAL have many successful years experience in delivering vocational qualifications and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
Elizabeth Bonfield, EAL Managing Director, added: "EAL is delighted to have been chosen by Skillset as the awarding body of the audio visual NVQs and we look forward to developing the relationship in the future.
"As a leading industry awarding body EAL is committed to providing the Skillset assessment centres and candidates with the highest level of service and with providing the audio-visual industry with high-quality candidates."
EAL is currently the awarding body for engineering, administration, distribution and warehousing, aviation and management qualifications. It has awarded 150,000 National Vocational Qualifications in the last five years.
