Animation Awards At Annecy For Film Club Director

Michaela Pavlatova, who directs commercials exclusively for Film Club Productions, has won two awards for Best Short Animated Film at the Annecy International Animation Festival 2012.
Her seven minute animated short, titled Tram, takes “a tramway driver's fantasies and urges, and transforms reality into a surreal and phallic delirium!” Michaela was awarded The Annecy Cristal and Fripresci Award for Tram.
Michaela was one of the first directors signed by Sue Loughlin when she launched Film Club Productions with mixed media and animation company th1ng in January 2010.
Sue Loughlin said: "I am delighted that Michaela has been recognised by the festival. Tram sums up her style perfectly: it's warm, witty, superbly comic and beautifully told. Michaela typifies the talent that we have at Film Club. Alongside Michaela at Annecy, Em Cooper’s film Emergence also made the Young Directors showcase. They are two young talents with very bright futures."
