New British Music Library Launched

Yes, it’s true; Norfolk Music Publishing launches a new music library - in an already very crowded market place: Musica Britannica Ltd.
The quirky bunch have brought the idea of a niche production music library to life, creating music of an essentially English character, and all recorded using live instruments. With the added bonus of decades in film-making and TV and time spent in the cutting room, the team definitely is on to a winner.
Musica Britannica will stand alone in epitomising the Best of British, which has a loyal and committed worldwide following. Purely based on the appetite and excitement for producing new music, with that home-grown charm and free from the pressures of Labels and Publishers, music in Musica Britannica is far from formulaic. And as so much of today’s music is produced without live instruments, the ethos here is "only live will do". Young musical talents are scouted on board and mentored to keep the momentum of the library going, as well as ensuring young composers have an outlet for their music.
With directors including Patrick Hawes, one of the country’s most prolific composers of library music and James Kenelm Clarke film-maker and composer, titles are all designed with the cutting room and the dubbing theatre in mind, where you will find that special piece of last minute music. From the big declamatory offerings to the quieter, delicate underlays, Musica Britannica has that distinction and style sought by the media outlets round the world.
