Shure Launch New Products At NAB

Shure Incorporated has unveiled its first full line of broadcast headsets: the BRH31M, BRH440M and BRH441M.
Designed specifically for broadcast and media production applications, the line extends the legendary heritage and performance of Shure microphones and headphones, invigorating the category by infusing modern technological design and features with uncompromised sound.
As new additions to Shure’s growing broadcast portfolio, the BRH headsets provide exceptional audio quality, comfort, and durability to meet the increasing demands of field production professionals. As with all Shure products, the BRH lineup adheres to the Company’s road-tested quality standards, and offers lifelong performance in the field or the studio.
The BRH31M Single-Sided Lightweight Broadcast Headset—for interchangeable wear on the left or right side—is a closed-back, supra-aural headset with an ultra-lightweight design. Key features include:
• Adjustable headband with a cushioned temple pad that provides a comfortable, ergonomic fit
• User-replaceable ear pad and windscreen for extended product life
• Single-side, fixed cable with unterminated end (bare whip) enables connection to a variety of devices, reinforced with Kevlar® for increased durability
The BRH440M Dual-Sided Broadcast Headset is a closed-back, circumaural headset that offers superior sound isolation from background noise. Highlighted features include:
• Ergonomic, adjustable headband with premium padding and optimal coupling force for long wearing comfort
• Single-side, detachable cable with unterminated end (bare whip) enables connection to a variety of devices, reinforced with Kevlar® for increased durability
• Flip-up mute function deactivates the boom microphone when raised vertically away from the mouth
• User-replaceable cable, ear pads, and windscreen support a long product life
The BRH441M Single-Sided Broadcast Headset—versatile for wear on the left or right side—also offers superior sound isolation from background noise, while keeping one ear open to the surrounding environment. Additional features include:
• Ergonomic, adjustable headband with premium padding and cushioned temple pad for long wearing comfort
• Flip-up mute function deactivates the boom microphone when raised vertically away from the mouth
• Single-side, detachable cable with unterminated ends (bare whip) enables connection to a variety of devices, reinforced with Kevlar® for increased durability
• User-replaceable cable, ear pads, windscreen, and temple pad for a long product life
All headsets in the line feature a dynamic, cardioid microphone that delivers natural, highly intelligible vocal reproduction, and frequency response optimised for communication in loud environments. Additionally, a flexible boom microphone pivots 270 degrees for left or right side wear and precise positioning.
"Shure has been manufacturing wired and wireless products for the broadcast market for decades," said Matt Engstrom, Category Director for Monitoring Products at Shure. "These new broadcast headsets were designed by the same core team that created our award-winning line of SRH headphones. They’ve been produced to meet the demanding conditions of any environment, whether they’re being used in the field, in the booth, or in the studio."
