NTL prepare for IBC 2002

NTL Broadcast, a leading provider of end-to-end services for the electronic media and broadcasting industry, will be guiding visitors through its complete range of tailored solutions at International Broadcasting Conference (IBC) in Amsterdam.
Facilities include OBs, SNGs, fibre, satellite and terrestrial transmission, as well as production, playout and IP streaming. The company’s offerings span the entire production and transmission path from acquisition through playout, distribution and delivery of the signal into homes via all analogue and digital platforms.
NTL Broadcast provides a wide range of satellite and transatlantic fibre services to deliver material globally. For DTH programmers NTL operates uplinks to all major European satellites. NTL also provides support on the ground with a fleet of fully crewed SNG vehicles and flyaway terminals to service the needs of the news, sports and special events markets. In addition, NTL offers its expertise in the design, construction, integration and operation of digital transmission systems on a consultancy basis around the world.
Special features for IBC 2002 include details of the company’s latest work on the optimisation of digital terrestrial television systems for mobile reception of video and IP data.
Visitors can learn about NTL’s enhanced ad-hoc streaming product that converts, at source, broadcast content and business TV events into Real Networks and Windows Media formats for efficient streaming across dial-up, ISDN and broadband Internet platforms.
The IBC Conference will be held at the Amsterdam RAI and commence on 12 September - one day earlier than the Exhibition – and will end on September 16.
This year's Conference has more sessions and influential speakers than previously. The Conference features six major themes over five days providing in-depth coverage of the business, creative, and technical aspects of the industry.
