TRILOGY BROADCAST SUPPLY SENTINEL SYSTEMS TO NTL

TRILOGY Broadcast have supplied further Sentinel signal monitoring systems to NTL Crawley Court.
NTL use the systems within their control rooms to monitor the condition and status of incoming and outgoing signals as well as at selected points within the broadcast chain.
For NTL, the Sentinel’s ability to accurately register and report freeze frame status was a critical issue.
NTL now have the ability to monitor multiple 10’s of channels of mixed signal information ranging from SDI video with embedded audio, through to analogue video and audio, with each status reported back to a central monitoring PC running Cosmos software to provide intuitive GUI control and immediate error reporting. Associated GPI outputs from the Sentinel cards can also be configured to automatically switch signal sources should an error condition occur. (CD)
