Prompting Contract Awarded To Autocue

Autocue has been awarded the contract to provide all teleprompting and support services for the BBC's news operations in London and Scotland.
The contract runs for three years, with the option to extend for a further two, and covers provision of equipment for 11 news programmes, as well as 24/7 support and operation of that equipment via a team of 25 operators.
Autocue CEO Frank Hyman said: "This contract win is a credit to our highly experienced teleprompter operators and technicians; our reliable, ground-breaking technology; and the level of professional 24-hour support that we continue to provide year after year, which is vital to non-stop news operations."
The new agreement includes cover for the critical transition period of news operations from BBC Television Centre to the new W1 Broadcasting House. As part of the contract, Autocue will roll out its latest Master Series teleprompters with market-leading design and weight saving LED-backlit monitors, as well as its unique IP-based QMaster/QBox software solution that interfaces seamlessly with the broadcaster's ENPS newsroom system.
Autocue has led innovation in the industry since 1955 and was the first to offer prompting and presentation systems to broadcasters and television production companies. It has grown to become the world's leading provider of not only prompting technology but scripting, newsroom and automation systems, video servers and professional grade broadcast monitors.
