New COO For BBC Studios And Post Production

David Conway has been appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) for BBC Studios and Post Production, a commercial subsidiary of the BBC, providing world-class studios, post production and digital media services to the media industry.
David will be responsible for leading and managing BBC Studios and Post Production’s business support functions, including finance, HR, business systems and procurement and report into the CEO. He has been a non-executive member of the BBC Studios and Post Production board since summer 2011 and is currently Head of Investment and Major Projects within BBC Corporate Finance. He previously held a senior role with Bacardi-Martini in their corporate development team. David will start his new role on 1 May 2012.
Based at London’s Television Centre, Elstree and Bristol, BBC Studios and Post Production works with a wide range of media companies and other clients, making hundreds of shows for a variety of UK and international broadcasters. Recent credits include the award winning Harry Hill’s TV Burp for ITV 1 and Deal or No Deal for Channel 4, Morgan Spurlock’s New Britannia for Sky Atlantic HD and the blind audition shows for BBC One’s new Saturday night entertainment format, The Voice UK. The company also provides a range of digital media services, working with content owners to transform and restore valuable archive footage for the commercial digital age.
