ATG Broadcast Reports Successful CABSAT 2012

ATG Broadcast, a broadcast systems integrator, has reported a positive and successful CABSAT 2012.
Held in Dubai Tuesday 28 February through Thursday 1 March, the show attracted more than 750 exhibiting companies from 55 countries and was the biggest electronic media event ever staged in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
"We have seen CABSAT grow in size and importance over the years, reflecting the high-achieving market which it addresses," said ATG Broadcast Managing Director Graham Day.
"This year’s show was an excellent one for us as a venue for meetings with new and existing MENA region clients.
"Visitor traffic was very high quality, both to discuss potential new systems integration projects and to talk through the opportunities raised by the latest technical advances in workflow structure, content manipulation, analysis and distribution. There was also substantial interest in the Amberfin and Viewcast product ranges which we represent in a distribution role.
"High definition and file-based workflow are the key drivers in the MENA market both in the desire for higher quality and greater working efficiency. Broadcasters from other parts of the world would be surprised to see how efficient networks in this region have become. Staff productivity at the leading Middle East broadcast networks is very high, using the latest equipment for news operations and programming."
