EVS Set To Unveil Broadcast Technology

At the 2012 NAB Show, EVS is set to present its latest range of solutions for fast turnaround TV sports, news and entertainment.
Visitors will get the chance to check out the new production perspectives based on its new XT3 and XS production servers.
What To Expect At SL3815
On their stand EVS Sports360° solutions meet new sports market requirements focusing on the monetization of live recorded content. They allow broadcasters and producers to cover 360° of their operations including advanced media production, archive research, and instant and exclusive package distribution through traditional or web-connected networks to multiple audiences.
XT3 is the new future-proof video recording and production server from EVS. At the heart of Sports360°, XT3 has been designed with advanced capabilities such as eight recording/playback channels in loop mode, multi-codec native support, and embedded high/low-res media management to get the most out of any recorded frame at the highest speed and reliability. The new XT3 platform is the industry’s first server featuring six non-stop 3Gbps feed ingest and playout channel capabilities for live and near live 3D or 3G production operations.
EVS C-Cast is the first advanced multi-cam solution allowing instant distribution of multi-camera angle content from venues to web-connected screens during live productions.
Meanwhile EVS E/E News combines the best of IT and live broadcast capabilities to meet the most demanding news production workflow requirements for speed, scalability and openness. Its unique architecture, composed of modular ingest and playout units based on XS live production servers associated with a suite of virtual content and production management tools (browsing, editing, and exchange with third parties), makes it the best solution for any newsroom operations.
EVS REC2Post solutions increase the productivity of TV production facilities by reducing cost and complexity. Relying on XS high speed studio servers, they can adapt to any studio requirements to optimize media accessibility and control for production and post production teams, even during recording and playback.
And finally EVS will unveil its latest toolset for media exchange and file mastering to streamline any broadcast production and archive media workflow operations. Combining the best of MXF file mastering technologies and advanced media conforming systems, EVS’ MXF File Mastering toolset includes the next MXF file-based OpenCube server offering full mastering of new AS02, AS03, and IMF formats, the master format required by Hollywood studios – as well as Quicktime ProRes.
