C2S Systems Wins Integration Deal

C2S Systems, the broadcast integration arm of WTS Group, has signed a deal to provide systems integration for the new London operations of broadcaster Phoenix Chinese News and Entertainment (PCNE).
Based in Richmond, London, the new operation will provide local content and local fronting to PCNE’s existing channels, delivered across Europe from Hong Kong, which focus on news and entertainment for a Cantonese and Mandarin speaking audience.
The new operation centre will house a four-camera news and magazine studio with a virtual set, a chroma studio with robotic camera, and a playout system for six 24/7 channels, with post production facilities. The complex will be on a fully tapeless workflow, from traffic through to asset management.

We’re designing a state-of-the-art broadcasting complex using some new technologies and integrating a completely tapeless workflow from production to playout. It will be a great project to work on", said Jonathan Lyth, Head of Projects at C2S Systems.

The new operation is currently in design stage with installation due to begin in March. Channels will begin transmission from the new facility in June this year.
