The Artist Named Regional Critics' Film Of Year

The Artist has been named Regional Critics’ film of the year allowing it to continue is successful awards run.
Critics and writers in all branches of the UK regional media voted for the award and this follows the films success at the London Critics Circle Awards last week, where it was also named Best Film.
The black-and-white picture also bagged Director of the Year and Actor of the Year at the Critics circle ceremony, following on from its success at the Golden Globes.
Previous winners of the regional critics’ award include The Social Network (2011), Up (2010) and Slumdog Millionaire (2009).
