Sherlock Set To Return

It has been revealed that popular TV drama Sherlock will return for a third season despite claims that there was no guarantee that they would be bring him back.
Ahead of series two, co-creator Steven Moffat told BBC News there was "no guarantee we'll be bringing him back".
But on Sunday night, Moffat wrote on Twitter: "Of course there's going to be a third series - it was commissioned at the same time as the second. Gotcha!"
The show features Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson's adventures in 21st Century London. It is a thrilling, funny, fast-paced contemporary remake of the Arthur Conan Doyle classic.
This news comes as the BBC announced that the first episode of Sherlock was the most-requested show ever in a 24 hour period on the BBC iPlayer and a at a time when UK broadcasters battle it out with a flurry of 2012 drama announcements.
The BBC have announced plans for a wealth of new dramas during the Broadcasting Press Guild in London including an adaptation of Philippa Gregory’s best-selling novels.
In addition plans for adaptations of Wilkie Collins' The Moonstone and James Herbert's The Secret of Crickley Hall were also announced.
A further Julia Donaldson book will be bought to life on television, following on from the success of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child and a new six-part series called Truckers, about a group of men and women who work for a haulage company will also be rolled out in 2012.
ITV followed suit a day later with two big drama announcements, Tony Marchant’s Leaving as well as Great Train Robbery drama Mrs Biggs. And Channel 4 announced Guy Hibbert’s latest, Complicit, about the War on Terror.
These are on top of upcoming 2012 dramas such as Birdsong, Call the Midwife and Restless on BBC1; Tom Stoppard adaptation Parade’s End, Stephen Poliakoff’s Dancing on the Edge and a Shakespeare season on BBC2; the £11m Titanic as well as new runs of Scott & Bailey, Downton Abbey and Vera on ITV; The Mill, C4’s first period drama in many years; and Sky’s big budget Sinbad.
