BBC's Studio And PP CEO To Step Down

It has been revealed that BBC Studios and Post Production's Chief Executive is set to leave the facilities company.
Mark Thomas who has been at the helm for almost four years and led the company through a streamlining process that restructured its core services will step down later this year.
Mr. Thomas is expected to leave in April and he said that it is the job of a CEO to know when to move on and allow someone else to come onboard and build on what everyone has achieved.
BBC Studios and Post Production supplies studio and post production services to the media industry, working with a range of media companies to create some of the UK's biggest TV titles, including Strictly Come Dancing and Deal Or No Deal.
About Mark Thomas
Mr. Thomas has worked in broadcasting for over 25 years. He joined BBC Studios and Post Production as CEO at the beginning of August 2008 to lead the business transformation.
He previously led the project to transfer 1,600 BBC staff from London to a new broadcast centre in Salford and was responsible for building strong partnerships between the private and public sectors and leading the commercial negotiations concerning the move.
Mark has held a variety of other senior roles in television, including Controller, BBC TV Operations.
