New Date For BVA Awards
The British Video Association (BVA) have announced that the date for the annual BVA awards has been changed to allow all industry sectors to attend.
It is understood that the 2012 award ceremony will now be held at Old Billingsgate on May 3 and will be hosted by comedian Miles Jupp.
Jupp is an award-winning comedian, actor and writer. He has been performing stand-up since 2000 and his debut Edinburgh solo show, Gentlemen Prefer Brogues, received a Perrier Best Newcomer nomination in 2004.
He has since gone on to become one of the most in-demand acts on the comedy circuit and continues to be a Fringe favourite.
Lavinia Carey, Director General of the British Video Association, said: "Since the theme for the 2012 Awards is 'Best of British' we felt Miles Jupp would be the perfect host. We’re so pleased to have secured Miles, as he wasn’t available on the first date we chose and we are certain he will be extremely popular and provide fabulous entertainment for our guests."
