Harris appoints new MD for Hirschmann Solutions

Harris Broadcast Europe have appointed Andreas Manske as Managing Director of Hirschmann Solutions in Rankweil, Austria.
Hirschmann Solutions is a world leader in digital and analogue broadcast transmitters and digital cable headend systems. It became part of Harris Broadcast Europe in 2001.
Manske joins Harris after 16 years with electronics and analysis specialist PerkinElmer Joining as a research engineer in Uberlingen, Germany. He rapidly progressed through the company, ultimately leading international teams focussing on development and manufacturing issues.
Under his guidance, PerkinElmer achieved good results in process improvement, slashing manufacturing costs by 50% and reducing the time to market of new products by 40%.
Before PerkinElmer Andreas Manske received his electrical engineering training at FG Constance in Germany, and participated in the Executive MBA programme leading to dual degrees from the State University of New York and the Graduate School of Business administration in Zurich. He joined Harris in June 2002.
