MediaCityUK Welcome Game Company

Yippee! Entertainment opens its offices today in The Greenhouse, MediaCityUK making it the first video game company to set up in Salford’s world-class media hub.
The Game company is headed up by Mike Delves and Lorraine Starr who have both been mainstays of the North West games industry for the last 25 years. The independent developer will be focussing on casual and social video games for home consoles, smart TV’s, and mobile devices such as Apple’s iPad and iPhone.
The studio has recently secured a deal with Macclesfield-based indie games publisher, Chillingo for their first original title for mobile and tablet devices
"Games are now such an integrated part of the media landscape that being alongside TV studios, special effects houses and movie companies seems a natural home for us," said Lorraine Starr, Commercial Director of Yippee Entertainment.
"Yippee! Entertainment is more than a games company, we are about making great ideas and properties live through games. Our aim always remains the same, to deliver exciting, immersive and totally engaging experiences that can be enjoyed across the board from iPad’s to web to smart TV’s."
