SysMedia adds FMA support to WinCAPS Multimedia

SysMedia has added internet video support to WinCAPS Multimedia using FMA (Flexible Media Architecture).
The new FMA option is designed primarily for subtitling companies employing freelancers and home workers. Time and money can be saved by delivering video material via the internet to WinCAPS Multimedia operators wherever they are located.
Developed by UK-based technology company IPV, FMA allows instant access to a video file over the internet. Users can view a browse-quality picture almost immediately. Picture quality improves while the rest of the video is downloaded. If the video is paused, the current frame is quickly enhanced to the maximum quality available. Users have full access to every frame of the source file before it is fully downloaded to their local PC, regardless of file length or frame location.

WinCAPS Multimedia with FMA incorporates Apple's QuickTime which allows remote video to be treated as a local file by existing applications without modification. All video content retains SMPTE timecode accuracy and frame accuracy true to the original source material.
