ViewCast Appoints ATG Broadcast As UK Reseller

ViewCast Corporation, a developer of industry-leading solutions for the transformation, management and delivery of digital media over enterprise, broadband and mobile networks, has signed a reseller agreement with ATG Broadcast, based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire,
The agreement will entitle ATG Broadcast to sell to end users and dealers the full range of ViewCast's current product offerings, including the award-winning Niagara streaming media appliances and Osprey video capture cards and software-based solutions such as ViewCast Media Platform, SimulStream and ScheduleStream.
Graham Day, ATG Broadcast Managing Director, said: "ViewCast has long been at the forefront of internet streaming technology. We have integrated its products into many systems for a variety of applications, and they have always performed successfully and reliably. This is a brand we are very pleased to represent in the UK market."
David Stoner, ViewCast President and Chief Executive, commented: "We have worked with ATG Broadcast for many years. The company's long experience in server-oriented broadcast system integration makes it an ideal distribution partner, particularly at a time when broadcasters are increasingly augmenting their traditional transmission channels with streaming and podcasting services."
According to new analysis from Frost & Sullivan, digital mandates are anticipated to fuel immediate demand for video encoders in Western Europe, with HD and other advanced compression format upgrades being the real market drivers. ViewCast is poised to capitalise on this opportunity with its high-performance, easy-to-use solutions for webcasting, mobile streaming and Internet TV and innovative capabilities such as high definition to standard definition switching-on-the-fly, widescreen signaling, bitmap overlay, de-interlacing, inverse telecine and a wide range of other professional features.
Peter Still, Director EMEA of ViewCast's Reading office, said: "We are delighted to renew our relationship with ATG. This agreement will enable us to enhance our visibility as the leading provider of streaming media solutions in the UK, and allow us to continue to provide broadcasters in the region with the high quality, cost-competitive encoders and software solutions that they need to manage the life cycle of their digital media."
