TV4 Sweden Buys Into The Best Singers

TV4 Sweden is to adapt Zodiak Entertainment's musical extravaganza format The Best Singers for local audiences.
The original FTV Productions format is currently an unstoppable hit on primary broadcaster TROS in the Netherlands and is set to take Sweden by storm.
Mastiff Sweden, a Zodiak Entertainment company, will produce eight episodes, set to air during Autumn this year on TV4. The second season of the Dutch show, which features well-established national singing stars, is smashing TROS' average market share of 4%, drawing an audience high of 733,000 viewers or an 11.4% market share - almost triple the average. In recognition of the show's outstanding success, it has been nominated in the Best Entertainment category at the Dutch TV Awards.

The Best Singers takes established singing stars from a particular country and gets them to perform each other's best-selling hits. Travelling to a glamourous location, they eat, sleep and sing together for the duration of the series. These national singing sensations are all famous in their own right, but can they belt out their colleagues' songs just as well as their own?
In each episode, one of the stars takes the role of main guest, and they sit in judgement as the other group members perform rousing versions of songs from their repertoire. The main guest must then decide which of The Best Singers did their classic tracks justice.
