Jay-Z Spoof Removed From YouTube

A parody of Jay-Z's 'New York state of mind' has been taken off YouTube due to a copyright reasons.
EMI Publishing removed the clip and commenting: "When a song is created based wholly on any of our writers' works, those writers need to grant their permission.
"If that permission isn't granted, then we ask the service in question to remove the song."
Directed by M-J Delaney, the video clip titled 'Newport State Of Mind' parodies Jay-Z and Alicia Keys' Empire State Of Mind.
The clip, made for less than £100, uses the backdrop of the south Wales city, and had been viewed thousands of times since last month. It featured rapper Alex Warren and singer Terema Wainwright.
Even though the clip is not available for view on YouTube, it is accessible on the performers websites.
Goldie Lookin Chain, Newport rap collective, have now also released their own version of the song attacking M-J Delaney's creation.
