Ecosse Serves Up Raw For RTÉ

RTÉ Television has commissioned Ecosse Films to produce a third series of a hit Irish drama series, Raw.
Series three of Raw, set in a busy Dublin restaurant, will feature an award-winning cast, including Charlene McKenna (Whistleblower), who picked up a Best Actress IFTA for RAW series one, Liam Garrigan (The Pillars of the Earth) Aisling O’Sullivan (The Clinic), Keith McErlean (Bachelors Walk) and Ger Ryan (The Street). The drama has proven a huge hit with Irish viewers, with the second series more than doubling its average audience, from 198,000 in series one to 460,700 in season two.
The new series sees Raw’s owner Fiona (Aisling O’Sullivan) employ Ray Cronin, formerly one of Dublin's most successful restaurateurs, to be her new duty manager. Ray is a man with a notorious reputation and sparks soon start to fly between the two.
Michael Parke, Executive Producer for Ecosse Films, said: "We are delighted with how popular Raw has been for RTÉ and thrilled to be working with them on a third series. RAW is a great example of highly entertaining drama, capturing the imaginations of viewers with a fantastic and engaging cast and powerful storylines."
Raw was created by Lisa McGee and is an Ecosse Films/Octagon Films production for RTÉ Television. It is written by Lisa McGee, Tom Farrelly, Muirinn Lane Kelly and Kevin McGee, produced by Ciara McIlvenny and Executive Produced by Michael Parke and Douglas Rae for Ecosse Films and Suzanne McAuley and James Flynn for Octagon Films. It was commissioned by Jane Gogan for RTÉ Television.
