Media Trust To Run Series Of Volunteer Films

Media Trust has announced that it is to run another series of Volunteer Films in 2018.

As a result, the charity is now looking for London-based filmmakers or production companies to volunteer to create short charity films. For the past two years, Media Trust has produced Volunteer Films, a charitable filmmaking scheme run in partnership with John Lyon's Charity.

Ten of John Lyon's Charity beneficiary charities, based in North West London, will be selected to have a free film made for them to help promote their work with young people. For the new season of Volunteer Films 2018, Media Trust is now recruiting self-shooting, self-editing professional filmmakers or production companies to create these films.

Filmmakers volunteer their time and expertise to produce a two to three minute film and will be given £1,500 (incl. VAT) to help cover costs. An approximate commitment of two days shooting and three days edit can be worked around the filmmaker's existing schedules with completed films delivered by end July 2018.

Applications by filmmakers must be received by 28 January 2018.
