Skillset Programme Seeks Producer

Applications are being invited for a trainee producer post, based in Glasgow and Dumbarton, offered by the Skillset Drama Training Programme.
The position will last for 12 months on a fixed term contract and is designed for experienced personnel.
According to the broadcast union, BECTU website, "this is not a programme for newcomers to the industry or people just starting out in scripted production".
A news item said: "This is an opportunity to hone existing knowledge and to gain additional skills, experience and contacts needed to become a leading producer of drama or comedy."
The salary offered is £35,100 per year and the deadline for applications is Wednesday 14 July.
Interviews will be held on Thursday 22 and Friday 23 July 2010; the successful candidate will be expected to start work in August 2010.
The Skillset Drama Training Programme is backed by Skillset, BBC Scotland, BECTU, Skills Development Scotland and the European Social Fund.
