Skillset Supports Drama Producer Internships In Scotland
Drama production companies based in Scotland will be interested in a new initiative designed to match opportunities with new production talent.
The Skillset Drama Training Programme (SDTP) are inviting applications from production companies able to provide an internship focused on delivering "the best possible learning experience."
The internship will run for a maximum of eight weeks with the programme contributing an internship salary. It will also include mentoring and support from leading industry practitioners.
Michael Wilson, Project Manager said: "Many freelance producers and future producers in Scotland are interested in developing projects, but too busy being 'hired guns' to get the chance to widen their experience of the development and commissioning process.
"Many production companies in Scotland rarely get the chance or have the resources, to bring in new editorial talent to work across or contribute to their development slate.
"This programme seeks to tackle both of those concerns."
Michael added: "We invite production companies to subject applications for the programme. If you represent a production company that would like to work alongside new talent then this is the programme for you."
Applications packs can be requested from: *

The deadline for applications is Monday 26 September at 9am hours.
