Discopro All Set For 2010 Launch In Budapest

The 4th Annual Discopro training and pitching programme will take place on Tuesday 22nd June 2010, the day before DISCOP East opens in Budapest.
With delegate attendance already up by 20%, Discopro will start with a series of fiction co-production pitching sessions. Following a pre-selection process, a short list of six producers from Serbia, Hungary, France and the US will pitch dramas, all with a connection to Eastern Europe, to a panel of experts.
Judges to date include Philipp Kreuzer (Bavaria Fernseh Produktion, Germany), Helge Koehnen (Bavaria Media Television, Germany), Emmanuel Eckert (M6, France), Peter Lakits (Chello Central Europe, Hungary), Joakim Hanssson (Fladenfilm, Sweden), Eliska Kaplicky Fuchsova (Simply Cinema, Czech Republic), Katalin Schulteisz (HBO Holding, Hungary).
The afternoon sessions of Discopro will see a FRAPA workshop to highlight the new creativity in the format industry, as well as the importance of formats rights protection in the region, followed by a keynote speech from Ty Warren, SVP Production, Raleigh Studios Budapest, a major Hollywood-sized production facility which opened in April 2010, who will address the opportunities and challenges of the Hungarian marketplace.
