Film Council announces new Head of Business Affairs

The Film Council has announced the appointment of Will Evans as the organisation's new Head of Business Affairs.
Evans, an entertainment lawyer of 23 years' experience, joins the Film Council on 2 September from the Intermedia Group where he was a senior executive for six years and most recently was Co-president of Intermedia Music Group.
John Woodward, Chief Executive Officer of the Film Council said: "We are delighted that Will is joining us. His wide experience in the film business will be a valuable asset to the Film Council."
In this role Evans will report to Woodward and provide support to the three film investment funds, working with Robert Jones (Head of the Premiere Fund), Paul Trijbits (Head of the New Cinema Fund) and Jenny Borgars (Head of the Development Fund) on structuring deals, managing the funds and raising finance. Evans will also work with Helen Bagnall, Head of the Training Fund. One of the most important elements of his appointment will focus on building long-term business partnerships with key stakeholders in the film industry.
Gillian Clyde, who has been running the department since April of this year, will continue in her role as Head of Legal reporting to Evans.
