FILM COUNCIL PROJECT DEVELOPMENT FUNDS

THE FILM Council have announced that their film development funds originally announced on May 2 will now be available through application from October 2.
The full application process will be available on the Film Council’s website www.filmcouncil.org.uk where filmmakers will be able to request the appropriate fund for their projects.
The funds are to be allocated for three areas as follows:
The Premiere Fund headed by Robert Jones with a budget of £10 million a year will facilitate the production of popular mainstream films;
The New Cinema Fund headed by Paul Trijbits with a budget of £5 million a year will back and innovate filmmakers, especially new talent, and explore new electronic production technologies;
The Development Fund headed by Jenny Borgars with a budget of £5 million a year will support the development of a stream of high quality, original and commercially attractive screenplays.
