Endemol Expands US Operation
A greater presence on cable TV is the target for Endemol which has just opened a new office on the US east coast.
The production and distribution business aims to boost its programming on cable television with the new Manhatten office.
It will be operating in addition to True Entertainment and Original Media, Endemol's previously acquired companies in New York.
The move sees Emmy nominated producer Dave Hamilton appointed as Vice President of Development in New York, further growing Endemol USA's development capacity.
Endemol USA is also increasing its development resources in Los Angeles with the appointment of Emmy Award winning producer Michael Weinberg as Vice President of Development.
Both Hamilton and Weinberg will report to Caroline Baumgard, Endemol USA's Senior Vice President of Development, who oversees all non-scripted development including original idea generation, developing international formats for the US marketplace, selling to US buyers and overseeing pilot production.
