TSL Wins For New Playout Facility For Channel 4

A leader in independent broadcast systems integration has been honoured at the 9th Annual Broadcast Engineering Magazine Excellence Awards for Network Automation for the completion of a major project. The project for Red Bee Media involved moving the UK’s Channel 4’s playout operations from its previous premises in London’s Horseferry Road to new, state-of-the-art facilities at Red Bee Media’s Broadcast Centre in White City.
TSL’s relocation of Channel 4 play-out to Red Bee Media is one of the UK’s largest play-out projects in recent years and has provided Channel 4 with a sophisticated facility that has greatly improved efficiency by taking advantage of the latest technical innovations.
TSL Managing Director David Phillips commented: 'Following on the heels of a similar win from Broadcast Engineering last year for our installation at ESS Star Sports, we are delighted to once again be recognised by the readers of this leading industry publication. The project involved the design and installation of a substantial and advanced system, using a carefully chosen selection from the key broadcast equipment suppliers and we are delighted to have received this award."
TSL officially accepted the award from the magazine at NAB 2010 in Las Vegas.
