Prime Focus Sponsors The London Independent Film Festival 2010

One of the world’s largest visual entertainment services groups, is the gold sponsor for the London Independent Film Festival for the third year in a row. The London Independent Film Festival (LIFF), sponsored by Prime Focus, is the leading event for low-budget films in the UK and celebrates the talent of indie filmmakers, particularly those who are making their first or second film, by showcasing their work. The festival runs from 15th-27th April 2010 at some of the capital’s best cinemas.
"We’re delighted to have Prime Focus on board again as an official sponsor," said Erich Shultz, Festival Director, LIFF. "They understand the importance of supporting the London film industry and nurturing upcoming talent which makes them an ideal partner for the festival."
Prime Focus will also be sponsoring the opening night gala at the Curzon Mayfair on 15th April, where Jan Dunn’s new film The Calling will be shown. As part of its sponsorship Prime Focus offers the winner of the Best UK feature a deal on post production for their next film. Jan won the prize for Best UK feature at the 2008 festival and so Prime Focus completed the post production on the The Calling. The same deal will be offered to the winner of the prize this year.
"LIFF does a wonderful job in supporting low budget filmmakers and that’s why we continue to offer our support to the festival," said Anshul Doshi, Group Managing Director UK, Prime Focus. "The Calling is a fantastic film and we’re happy to have been a part in creating Jan’s vision."
