Free seminars at The Media Show

A variety of free seminars has been arranged for The Media Show, the new exhibition and conference for the media production industry which is to be held at Cardiff City Hall on October 8 and 9.
The Media Show, the biggest out-of-London trade show covering television, video and new media production, will also offer free entry for visitors.
The organisers, Cardiff-based marketing and PR company Genesis Media Group (who are PACT members) already run a trade show in England which will be transferred to Cardiff as part of The Media Show.
Genesis’ Alan Torjussen said: “The Media Show will be the first chance for people who don’t get to IBC to see the latest kit in the exhibition which will feature the whole mixture of equipment and services. Seminars will cover a variety of technical and business subjects with a focus on broadband and a series of workshops on Rights in the media. The association of film libraries, FOCAL International, is organising a seminar on Access to the archives, there will be a Meet the TV commissioners session and there will be seminars on business development and new media.
“This is a UK show rather than a Welsh show. Exhibitors and visitors will be travelling to Cardiff from all over the UK. Many companies have already booked exhibition space but the organisers are keen to bring in more exhibitors, sponsors and organisations interested in becoming partners in the venture”.
The show will include The Media Showcase, where production companies, facility companies and broadcasters will be able to showcase their work.
