Fountain Television Lit-Up By Sonifex Signs

Fountain Television has installed a new range of SignalLED illuminated RGB LED lighting.
The studio - which began in 1985 and has the biggest purpose-built TV studio in the UK and has acquired production of high profile programmes such as Britain's Got Talent and X Factor - has been developing further.
Chris Cooper has been Chief Engineer at the Wembley site since 1992 and has been involved in recent refurbishment of the studio.
He said: "We have recently upgraded some of our facilities to include HD and now 5.1 audio. After seeing the Sonifex SignalLED signs at IBC, I thought they would complement other cosmetic improvements we were making," he said.
The signs are replacing aged TX/REH lights which are distributed throughout the building.
"I have already received plenty of positive feedback on how well they fit in with all the other studio improvements," he continued.
The new range of SignalLED illuminated RGB LED signs are designed for outside recording, on-air and production studios, meeting rooms, conference rooms and fixed installations.
The unit can be simply configured onsite as the control electronics and RGB LEDs are all contained within the sign.
For ease of use, as standard, you can configure the sign from one of eight colours: white, green, red,blue, yellow, orange, cyan and magenta.
The sign can be controlled by either, or both, of two pull-low inputs, e.g. a single input can be used to control a single 'MIC LIVE' sign, or two inputs can be used to control a twin 'TX' and 'REH' sign with independent control of each side of the sign.
Each sign is 40cm or 20cm long.
The 40cm signs can be split into two 20cm sides which can be separately, or jointly, controlled, e.g. you can have a 40cm 'ON AIR' sign, or twin 2 x 20cm signs, such as 'ON AIR' and 'MIC LIVE'.
An end mounting sign can also be supplied which has the sign readable from both sides, e.g. for putting in a long corridor.
The sign is supplied as standard so that it can be mounted flush to a wall and there are two optional mounting kits available: the LD-KE1 to mount the sign perpendicular to a wall and the LD-KC1 to ceiling mount it.
Although a range of standard signs is supported, custom signs, with your company name or logo, can be produced for a nominal setup fee.
