Volicon Signs Reseller For German-Speaking Market
Volicon has announced that it has signed a reseller agreement with Signum Bildtechnik to represent the entire Volicon Observer line of digital video logging, monitoring and streaming solutions in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Russia.
The relationship signals Volicon's formal entry into a large and relatively untapped market for its award-winning solutions, and a major step in the company's continued global expansion.
A leading distributor of broadcasting equipment based in Munich, Signum Bildtechnik will offer the Observer digital content monitoring and logging solution to broadcasters, cable providers and government organisations in German-speaking countries as well as Russia - with potential to later expand the relationship into the Middle East.
Martin Hainfellner, President of Signum Bildtechnik, said: "Monitoring of aired video is of critical video is of critical importance to the German-speaking broadcast community, but it has typically been handled through home-grown solutions, processes and systems. Traditionally, broadcasters have been able to devote internal resources to these processes, but the industry has to change as operations adapt to new paradigms such as IPTV and Internet TV. Volicon is without question the premier provider of digital recording and monitoring technology. We believe these business dynamics will drive significant demand for Volicon's Solutions as broadcasters recognise their overwhelming value for strengthening regulatory compliance and improving efficiencies."
Julius Perl, Vice President of Marketing at Volicon, said: "Signum Bildtechnik is the ideal partner to lead our charge into this large and rapidly evolving market. The company has a proven reputation for placing leading-edge broadcasting systems with some of Europe's largest broadcasters, and its keen insight into the German-speaking marketplace and broadcasters' requirements will ensure our success there."
