Macrovision announces European launch of MacroSAFE

Macrovision UK, a subsidiary of Macrovision Corporation and the leading developer and supplier of digital rights management (DRM) and copy protection products, will be demonstrating its latest DRM solution, MacroSAFE at IBC.
The Macrovision stand at IBC is in Hall 2, Stand 111. iVAST, Macrovision¹s MPEG-4 technology partner, and Widevine Technologies, Macrovision¹s realtime data encryption technology partner, will demonstrate their technologies in the Macrovision booth.
MacroSAFE is a multi-layered, IP-based software solution that guarantees the secure distribution and management of video, audio, and graphics, and other multimedia applications to a variety of IP-based devices, including PCs and set-top boxes. It conforms to the MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 standards. The system includes AES and triple DES encryption, built-in tamper-hardening and separation of licenses and content to increase security and flexibility. MacroSAFE¹s architecture supports revocation and renewability of licences in case of security violations, as well as ease of implementation at content owner level.
