Pixel Farm Announce Free 3D Tracker Promotion

A developer of innovative film and television digital post-production tools, the Pixel Farm, pushes matchmove technology into the hands of compositors for free.
Following the recent announcement that The Pixel Farm has discontinued PFMatch as a supported product, the company is now giving it away for free to any user of Shake 4.1 for either linux or Apple OSX.
For VFX artists that are not familiar with camera tracking systems, PFMatch couldn't get them off to a better start. The simple user experience is in contrast to the complex underlying analysis system that provides extremely accurate camera data on any type of moving image, solving all types of camera motion for both fixed and variable focal lengths.
PFMatch for Shake is especially easy to learn because it uses the host program's own image editing, 2D tracking and masking tools to direct the tracking algorithms; as such, there is no need to learn a whole new user interface.
For Pro users, the addition of The Pixel Farm's 3D tracking engine to Shake gives users access to the best 3D tracker in any current compositing system on any platform, without the need to actually leave the application. PFMatch incorporates technology from the market leading tracking and analysis system PFTrack. PFMatch provides Shake users with a fully integrated 3D camera tracking environment. The track data is passed straight to the Shake Multi-Plane node and requires no saving or exporting of data.
