CNBC Asia Pacific Selects Chyron For On-Air Graphics

Chyron has announced that CNBC Asia Pacific has selected Chyron's CAMIO server, LEX2 graphics systems and ISQ ("Intelligent Sequencer") remote monitoring and playout controller for use in its broadcast headquarters in Singapore.
The CAMIO workflow servers are designed to complement CNBC Asia's Pacific's new LEX2 graphics systems for use in producing top-quality SD graphics for a wide range of business and financial news programming. Chyron's ISQ playout application enables control of independent output channels across multiple devices from a single GUI.
CNBC Asia Pacific has also installed two Chyron Lyric PRO graphics software workstations for offline template creation.
In addition, Chyron's MicroX, a single-channel character generator and the ISQ application have also been deployed at CNBC Asia Pacific's Sydney, Australia, bureau, which is directly linked with the CAMIO server at the Singapore HQ.
CNBC Asia Pacific's Senior Vice President for Operations, Peter Juno, said: "The elegant combination of Chyron products has enabled us to further improve our on-air look and feel across the region and the in-built flexibility is such that it will enable us to easily grow those capabilities in the future."
CNBC Asia Pacific provides nine and a half hours of live Asia-produced programming, which is complemented with coverage of live market action from Europe and the US. CNBC Asia Pacific's channels, which include CNBC Asia, CNBC-TV18 (India), CNBC Pakistan, Nikkei-CNBC (Japan) are available in more than 21 countries across the Asia Pacific region. CNBC also has a strategic alliance with Shanghai Media Group, which wholly owns a subsidiary, China Business Network and a partnership with Digital Chosun , part of the Chosun group of companies, the biggest media conglomerate in South Korea.
The channels are distributed via satellite, cable and terrestrial broadcast networks, as well as broadband. CNBC content is also distributed on the 3G platform through selective markets.
William Payne, Chyron's Director of Asia Pacific Sales, said: "CNBC Asia Pacific reaches millions of viewers across the Asia Pacific region and we are delighted that they have chosen Chyron technology, which further strengthens our position as the leading graphics interface provider for the global broadcast market."
