Image Systems Appoints Peter Harrow As Asia-Pacific Head of Sales
Image Systems, formerly known as Digital Vision, has announced that it has appointed Pete Harrow as its new Asia-Pacific Head of Sales.
The announcement follows the news that Peter Charles, who has successfully fulfilled the role for a number of years now, is retiring at the end of of the month.
Pete Harrow is someone who many Image Systems customers will be familiar with as he has worked as a colour and finishing specialist across the Asia Pacific region, working very closely with the company's partners.
Harrow has also worked as a post-production consultant complimenting his work as a freelance colourist. This means that he already benefits from an intimate knowledge of the company's end-to-end DI and restoration workflows across its product range, including the Golden Eye film scanners, Nucoda colour grading and finishing systems and Phoenix image media restoration and mastering software solutions.
Harrow has been based in Auckland for the past three years, but developed his much in-demand skills as an engineer and colourist in the fast-paced Soho post production environment.
In New Zealand, he's recently completed work for manna of the country's top brands as well as providing consultancy services across Asia. One of his last successful roles was as a Dailies Colourist on The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader using Nucoda Film Masher as the on-set tool to help streamline colour for the DI workflow at Walden Media.
Harrow said: "I started as an engineer at Pepper and then worked as an apprentice to some of London's best colourists. I worked with many of the different kits on the market, developing my skills as a colourist and workflow manager. It was during this time that I cam to know and love the way that Nucoda was developing its product line. I really look forward to this opportunity and further expanding Image Systems' reach across Asia-Pacific."
Kelvin Bolah, VP Sales, Image Systems, said: "Pete is technically astute, commercially strong and has a good working knowledge of the market and the competitive landscape. Having worked closely with Peter Charles for the last three years, he has learned the trade from one of the best. We are pleased to welcome him on board and at the same time wish Peter Charles all the best and thank him for his sterling work."
