IdeasUnlimited.tv To Preview AdCert At NAB 2009

At NAB 2009, IdeasUnlimited.tv will be demonstrating its new AdCert solution. The product has already been in use for six months at a major broadcaster, which plays out eight channels from the UK and will be officially launched at the show in Las Vegas on April 18 - 23.
AdCert allows the broadcaster to monitor the correct transmission of television commercials and generates Media FingerPrint data of all advertisements added to a broadcaster's server.
The AdCert box recognises an advert and logs it into a database every time it is played out as well as making a recording of the broadcast. The recordings act as a certified proof of transmission and include a digital signature giving the exact date, time and channel ID of each airing.
AdCert allows broadcasters to flag differences between playout 'as run' logs and actual transmissions and discrepancies can be visually checked by viewing the AdCert recording which is available instantly. This provides a secure method of minimising billing dispute and inaccuracies by providing proof that the advertisement has been screened in full at the scheduled time.
Advertisers/Agencies are also able to remotely monitor and filter commercials by TV channel, transmission date or commercial for example, using AdCert's web interface.
The AdCert box is also capable of logging ad-hoc transmission of commercials, for example, during a live sporting event. These instances can be logged and the data supplied for external billing purposes. Furthermore, it can be used for monitoring any type of short form material such as promos or pop videos, all of which can be detected and verified.
Finally, the box automatically generates user configurable reports offering broadcasters an accurate 'as transmitted log' for the first time. These reports can be emailed to the client with PDF documents showing a set of mini pictures from each commercial along with the certified date, time and channel of transmission. A browse proxy can also be included for immediate playback and review.
Glyn Powel Evans MD of IdeasUnlimited.tv added: "In light of recent high profile issues surrounding playout centres and advertising, the launch of the AdCert will allow broadcasters to give advertisers and agencies an assurance that their commercial has been transmitted correctly. The fact that the box can simply be added to users existing ContentProbe systems makes it quick and easy to deploy."
In addition to launching its new AdCert product at NAB, IdeasUnlimited.tv will be demonstrating the recently extended capabilities of its ContentProbe solution. Now including a web user interface, ContentProbe allows fast and easy access to all recording and logs stored on the ContentProbe.
ContentProbe is a low cost and high performance conformance recorder. Other recent additions to the product include added IP inputs giving ContentProbe the capability to record new media services.
