Vinten Radamec Strengthens Robotics Team

Vinten Radamec, a Vitec Group brand and global leader in camera automation, has strengthened its core International Robotics team of more than 30 people with the appointment of three senior management personnel.
Alan Jones has been appointed Commercial Projects Manager to lead the Robotics Customer Services and Support Teams, charged with the task of improving response times for deliveries, service and support.
Jones, who joins from The Automation Partnership (TAP) where he was a robotics project manager for more than seven years, will also be introducing a new range of after sales services to benefit Vinten Radamec customers.
Graham Jarrett is the new Robotics NPD (New Product Development) Programme Manager, who will oversee an ambitious plan to not only introduce additions to the Fusion range but also provide upgradable and backward-compatible enhancements to existing installations. Jarrett is a distinguished design engineer whose career includes demanding roles at Broadcast Technology, Quantel and Link Electronics.
Leading the team is Alan Platt, Head of Robotics, who will drive a challenging business plan to increase market share with new products, while building on the company's world-beating level of customer service. Platt also joins from TAP, where he was Engineering Manager, and has unrivalled expertise in the specialist fields of motion control and robotics.
Many of the major news networks throughout the US and EMEA regions have installed Vinten Radamec robotics systems, including the new future-proof Fusion range, which is also fully compatible with existing Autocam and Radamec products in the Vinten Radamec range.
Roger Wilson, Managing Director of Camera Dynamics, said: "These recruitments have been driven by the dramatic success of our Fusion System, which last year bucked industry trends with a year on year growth in sales of some 40 per cent."
More than 50 studios across the world have chosen Vinten Radamec heads and pedestals in the last 18 months alone.
Wilson added: "As studios continue to realise the benefit of robotic systems, worldwide sales of Vinten Radamec heads, pedestals and systems are set to grow further. Now is the right time to add specialist management expertise to deliver the strong performance our customers expect."
All Vinten Radamec systems are designed and manufactured at the company's state-of-the-art facility at Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, which is part of the Vitec Group.
