Vinten Radamec To Launch Ice Technology
Vinten Radamec, part of Vitec Videocom, a Vitec Group company, will be showing its next-generation fusion robotics, incorporating the company's new ICE (Intelligent Control Engineering) technology at this year's IBC2012 event.
ICE delivers unprecedented control and accuracy in an innovative and highly compact form, and is incorporated into the recently released FH-145 and FHR-145 heads. The two next generation pan and tilt heads will be displayed alongside Vinten Radamec’s first ever product to incorporate the ICE platform, the FHR-35.
The ICE technology represents a major step forward in camera robotics. The platform provides a motion control system and drive train within the heads to deliver both the fastest and the slowest broadcast quality movement. The ICE motion control system is also able to drive a wide range of full-servo broadcast lenses. The ICE platform harnesses IP technology, allowing control from either the Vinten Radamec VRC or LCS systems over a standard Ethernet infrastructure.
Karen Walker, commercial manager, Vinten Radamec, says, “This year has been revolutionary for Vinten Radamec in terms of growing our range of next generation ICE products. Every element of the new motion control platform demonstrates our continued commitment to creating innovative and advanced technology to meet the precise requirements of today’s broadcasters.
“There are several very different products in our new robotics range, from pan and tilt heads, to a brand new positioning system for pedestals, as well as an innovative compact and portable control solution. The new products address the distinctive change taking place in the robotics industry. Each individual product is tailored towards specific sectors of the market, yet they all deliver the same outstanding performances and offer real operational advantages to our customers.”
Virtual Reality upgrades available for the full range of ICE heads will also be on display on Vinten Radamec’s stand, alongside two exciting new product launches that reflect the innovation and exacting performance of the ICE technology.
